Fallout, Season One (Amazon Prime Video)
One of the most entertaining and stylish shows I watched in 2024, Fallout is a genre-bending (dystopian, sci-fi, mystery, romance, comedy) statement. Similar to my favorites pick last year (The Last of Us), Fallout’s zombie-riddled, post-apocalyptic narrative is based on a video game I’ve never played. But Fallout’s suave aesthetic, robust writing, and engaging commentary make it distinctive.

“To the Flowers” by While She Sleeps (Music Video)
While She Sleeps’ “To the Flowers” has the best music video I’ve seen in years. I’ve listened to a lot of While She Sleeps since my YouTube algorithm introduced me to this song in early 2024 and most of their music is standard metal/hardcore fare. But “To the Flowers” has a decidedly different sound. Its melodic portions enhance the harder ones, encompassing a range of emotions the lyrics were crafted to evoke.
